i'm back

well, if you didn't know, i was gone to Oregon to attend my uncle's wedding which was fabb. it was really nice to see so much happiness between two people and how excited they where. yes, i cried. but i had a lot of fun (as you can tell from these pictures). we spent our first day in Portland and walked around and ate at this awesome italian café that actually had itallians serving food (pretty exciting if u kno what imean). then we went to this restuant where the rehersal dinner was held, there was SOOO MUCH FOOD, i died. we had hors d'orvers which included bread and butter and some muscles and shrimp, then we had salad, THEN we had our main course which for me was venison (i had never had it before) and finally i had this espresso-chocolate cake that i ate a little to quickly, but i was okay. after dinner we drove for like 1 1/2 hours to where our condo was for the weekend. the next morning everyone was complaining that my cousin sophie kept them all up by throwing up all night, but i guess i slept through that like everything else..oh well. we had breakfast and then i decided to go to my first sauna session ever. that was fun, and i felt pretty good afterwards. everyone else stayed away for the most part and went swiming, but periodically came in to warm up (it was raining). then it was wedding time. i got dressed and, if i must say so myself, i looked pretty good. :D we drove up to Timberline lodge on Mt.Hood and we couldn't decide if the façade or the interior was filmed in the movie The Shining, i still don't know, but it's fine i guess. here comes the fun part: so we get there and we are walked out the back side of the building and told to get into a "snowcat" which was basically a nicer name for a box on the back of a snowmobile. i had already had prior knoledge to this, but i guess i don't know what to expect. we ride in the snowcat for about 10 mintues and we finally arrive at the little hut where the wedding was supposed to be. it was a really cute little hut on the side of the hill surrounded by giant drifts of snow, so we didn't get to go outside much. the wedding was very simple and sweet and we ate a very nice dinner and then comenced the dancing. my boring and lame mother and step-dad, being weird as uusal, decided that they wanted to go home (for god knows why) and i prettymuch straight-up told them that i wasn't leaving. Liz wen't with them as did my younger cousins, but i was able to stay until my uncle left, which was about midnight. it was fun, i was the only younger kid there so lots of the people asked me to request to the DJ if he could play some of the music dance to at our school dances. let's just say that FERGALICIOUS rocked the house. it did. as for the next day, it was mostly involved with an all-you-can-eat buffet which i ate like 3 belgan waffles and felt very sick afterwards. but it was snowing outside, so it made things better. we drove back to portland and we went to this science museum there cause my younger cousing Sophie is in lovee with that sort of stuff, but it was fun. then after they left, we went to the ariport and waited for our plane. it was a fun trip i must say. i really missed traveling...i'll just have to wait 45 more days. yessssss.

it's not in davis, but...

Johnny Vera was named prom queen at Roosevelt High School in Fresno, California this past weekend.

At the candidates' speeches Friday in the quad during lunch, Vera, told his classmates, "For me, it's about more than a crown. It's about saying to people, 'Come out and be who you want to be,' You have to say, 'I am who I am, and I'm proud of who I am. My spirit will never be down on the floor.' "

It gets better!

According to The Fresno Bee, "The students cheered and whistled. The girls on Vera's cheerleading squad got teary-eyed. A boy wearing a pin supporting another queen candidate started the chant: 'Johnny! Johnny! Johnny!'"

Congratulations Johnny, you are one fabulous and inspiring queen!

update

i haven't posted recently, so now im changing that. let's see....well, i recently just got some Tresemmé hair mousse and feel very project-runway-èsque. :D hmm..well i just got back from a performance at DaVinci high school (an different high school that shares the same campus as mine) of Fools, which was freakin hilarious. it's basically about this russian village that has a curse on it where all the inhabitants are completely stupid and this teacher from Moscow comes to teach them, but finds out he must break the curse or succumb to it in 24 hours. long story short, he does break the curse and marries a girl in the process; amidst many jokes, some lame, but mostly clever. OH! well this weekend is davis' Whole Earth Festival which is basically a giant gathering of hippies from i dont kno where, and i must say there was a lot of hemp and it's other family members present...you know what i mean.
other than that, i'm watching Madonna's confessions tour for like the 934857389475 time, and it's still amazing as it was before. why? because she's AMAZING that's why.
