my weekend

so, this weekend, my grandparents hosted a family get-together for all of those people who never got to go to my uncle frank's and aunt vanessa's wedding (i did..hehehe)
it was really really nice to see some of my relatives that i dont get to see very often such as my aunt and uncle as well as my 2 cousins who live in SanDiego and also some others that are very dear to me :D

i spent much of the weekend with them (and even up till today) remembering and hearing old stories of myself, my mom and uncles from when they where kids as well as my grandparents (los abuelos).

we also went out to dinner last night for my aunt kristina's birthday (which was actually today) and my grandma got very sentimental about her grandkids and made me cry...
then my grandpa made some very cute comments to abuela (which doesnt happen very often, he usually refers to her as "shultz" [apparently its from an old tv show or movie with a german general])

i love them all :D

Perezhilton.com

Time goes by so slowly…when you’re waiting for a new Madonna album!

Multiple VMA nominee and performer Timbaland spoke with MTV News on Tuesday about the tracks he and Justin Timberlake have been working on with the pop superstar.

The beatmaster revealed that Madge has worked on a whopping TEN songs with him and JT, many of which are club bangers.

Hell yeah!

“She’s great,” says Timbo. “She’s got a hot album. Her album is up there with Justin’s album.”

Timbaland added that Madonna is almost done with her new album, which - as PerezHilton.com has been reporting - would put it on track for an expected November release date, followed by a world tour in ‘08.

“Ah, man,” Tim gushed. “There’s this one song, we taking it back to ‘You must be my luck-eee starrrr!’ … Remember ‘Ugly’ by Bubba Sparxxx? I got a beat similar to that. The hook is no words. It’s saying stuff named after coffee — all these different names for coffee — is the hook. … The name of the song is ‘La, La.’ Pharrell did a hot one for her too called ‘Candy shop.’ She’s off the chain.”

Justin’s right hand man said there isn’t a title for M’s new album yet, but he will be reconvening with the singer in September to finish it up.

We can’t wait!!!

its music news week (part 1)

once upon a time there was Annie Lennox
and another pop queen named Madonna

one day Annie decided to invite many leading (female) singers to help her with a song.

Madonna was one of them.

this made me VERY excited.

the next week

week 2
Vienna

after my week-long experience and some sad goodbyes to the friends i made there, Katharina (the mom of the family i was staying with), myself and the youngest kid, Daniel returned to Vienna where i was to spend the week there; exploring many different areas of the city. Katharina left for work in the morning, so i was left to fend for myself (which was quite fun) and Daniel was off to his daycare..so i was also alone. :D so the first day i decided to go scan the shopping scene and went down to the nearby underground station and took it to a station that was in the central part of vienna. walking around a bit, i tried looking for an H&M (cause there freakin everywhere) as a sign for the beginings of a shopping street or mall..finally of about 10minutes of failed searching i broke down and asked a [very nice and well-dressed] woman in my horrible german accent "wo ist das H&M?" and not understanding, she replied "was?"..then i repeated the question with my british accent and she replied (in perfect english) "oh, its just down the street" as she pointed to the street that seemed to extend forever (I later learned that it actually did..with many amazing shops)..thanking her, i continued on my way, finally reaching H&M and finding MANY other "zupa-cool" stores..like Esprit, United Colors of Benetton, Gil, Puma, Zara..i could go on. i shoped a while, getting many gifts for my friends back home, deciding to get that over and done with so i could figure out what money i could spend for myself and food. i met up with Katharina later that day at the Stephansdom (which was literally breathtaking when i first saw it) and we had lunch and took a tourn on a hoarse-drawn carrage around the oldest part of vienna..she pointed out many interestig sights that i later went and saw. that night we went to this Music Film Festival held at the gorgeous city hall, and saw a concert of some concerto (i forget which one) and i walked around afterwards by myself to see what vienna was like at night..didnt see anything that i didnt expect, so that was pretty fun. my week contineued to be simliar, the next day i went with some famliy friends of theirs to a public "bath" which, no is not what americans call a "bath", but just a public swiming pool. i got a little sunburned (i put on sunscreen!), but none the less, it was fun. on wednesday, Katharinas mom took me sightseeing and showed me the parts of vienna that tourists wouldnt see unless they where kidnapped and where taken there (im not saying these places where sketchy, but they where clearly out-of-the-way). On thursday i went to the palace of Shönbrun and walked around a bit and admired the pretty gardens..then i went and saw many other buildings that i didnt get to see the previous day..it was pretty intence; the number of things that i saw that day..i even amazed Katharina when i told her about all the places i went. i left on saturday morning by train with her nice who was going (like me) up to the lake district on Atersee. all i can say is that Vienna is amazing. I ♥WIEN

week 1
Giesshübl (pronounced geese-hoo-ble)

after my arrival in austria, Michael (the father i'm staying with) picked me up at the airport and took me back to their house in Vienna and then relayed his plans for the evening. beeing EXTREAMLY tired, he suggested for me to take a nap there and then be ready around 6:00 in the evening for a family get together for his cousins birthday...half awake, i met some relatives of his and tried some typical austrian food.
the day after, Michael and i drove to (somewhere) in the Alps to go pick up Fabian (the second youngest child) who was at a camp. i really dont remember much of it because apparently i was sleeping. that afternoon, we arrived at Giesshübl, an aggricultural school, but for the summer was turned into a gathering place for families to come and enjoy eachothers company.
it was an interesting experience, knowing no german, it was hard at first to connect with the people, but luckily they knew some english and where able to ask me very simple questions, which i gladly recieved. i made some friends there, realized that im much better at fußball (soccer) than i thought i was, and learned a lot about german techno :D
Lina, (the girl in the purple sweater) is about 17 and shes a lot of fun to be around, we went exploring in the little town nearby called Amstetten and shopped a lot there. we exchanged life stories and i learned that she had spent about 1 year in Ireland and that was the reason her english was very good...which made me happy. Sadly, she left the day after to go to France, to stay with a family there and learn work on her french..lucky..but we really connected in our short time toghether and we still talk!
another friend i made, Verana, who is also 16, was brought to this camp by her boyfriend, but after they learned that i wasnt a threat to their relationship (you get what i mean) we all became super close and hung out like everyday..lots of fun!

on the seconed to last night of our stay there..there was a Disco where all the adults and teenagers stayed up like all night dancing away (i was able to be DJ for a little :D), and that was a lot of fun
the next night was the bonfire night where in the previous day people gathered bunches of sticks and piled them high in the center of the parking lot and then lit it on fire. it was pretty big. and very hot.

more stories will come to me, but keep checking for week 2!!

Rückseite im

just so you all know. i havent died, i just have been half alive trying to recover from my jetlag..which sucks.
anyways, ill be posting a lot of random stories for the next couple weeks trying to convey how amazing my trip was.
this is a pic of the Stephanzdom (i think thats the correct spelling) which was probably one of the coolest old gothic churches in vienna (and also the most well-known)
